Nurse
Midwifery Services Certified
Nurse Midwives are committed to encourage women to trust their own
bodies to birth healthy babies. The service encompasses ongoing
education regarding pregnancy, nutrition, exercise, childbirth preparation,
parenting and health promotion as essential components of your prenatal
care.
During labor, nurse midwives stay with women and
their support person(s) providing personalized emotional and physical
support while they deliver your baby. Midwives offer methods to
encourage normal birth and involve the family to the fullest extent.
Pain medication and regional anesthesia are available, as are other
methods of relaxation such as message, hydrotherapy and aromatherapy.
We stay with families after birth to enhance bonding, assist with
early breastfeeding and share in the celebration of life.
Certified
Nurse Midwives can attend to your gynecological care. They provide
annual examinations including pap smears, breast examinations, mammography
and assessing overall health.
Certified Nurse Midwives have prescribing
authority for birth control and healthcare products.
